we are truly grateful to have you here, in this moment in time, sharing space with us.

We live stressful, over-stimulated and fast-paced lives. It’s no wonder we feel dysregulated and disconnected from our bodies. Many people chronically live in a fight or flight nervous system response. This can wreak havoc on various bodily systems. We know deep down that rest and supportive self-care practices are the antidote. As good as our intentions are, this rest is often deprioritized or delayed as we promise ourselves we’ll relax when our work is done (which it never is). It’s a never-ending cycle.

At Fieldside we help support people reconnect with their mind, body and soul through yoga, movement and grounding into nature. Come exactly as you are and submerge yourself in silence, stillness, or intentional movement and panoramic views of Mother Earth's beauty.

The aim is for you to leave feeling grounded, embodied and regulated by intentional self-care. Meet your needs through a variety of class options tailored for all bodies and yoga abilities. Be in community with our team and others working to flourish as the best versions of themselves.

Our mission is to provide a body-inclusive space for all to show up unapologetically, move in nurturing ways and compassionately build attunement. We guide students in cultivating mindfulness and intentional self-care both on and off the mat.

welcome!

Everyone is welcome to share space in our inclusive yoga community. We love to support as many local businesses as possible to strengthen and cheer for our greater Kawartha Lakes community.

Each teacher is on a personal yoga journey which they continue to develop and share in class. We are all unique in how we teach, support and guide our classes. We invite you to show up unapologetically and tune in to what your body needs in the moment.

All bodies (shape, size, gender, colour and ability) are welcome in this space. We aim to always treat people with dignity and respect.

The studio is a space free of toxic energy. Collectively we reject unrealistic beauty standards, body shaming and food restrictions. Diet culture has narrow ideals and oppresses people. At the studio we do not comment on people's bodies, share our latest diet trend or support a one-way-fits-all definition of health.

Core Values...

Fieldside Yoga recognizes they are settlers that live, work, and play on stolen ancestral lands of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsio, Mississauga and Haudenosaunee peoples. We pay respect to and acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land and deeply thank Elders past, present and emerging. We collectively learn more about Canada’s history of the forced removal, genocide and ongoing trauma inflicted by settlers on Indigenous people. We recognize that more can be done in unlearning, educating and reconciling which deserves action beyond this acknowledgement.

My journey to yoga and meditation began at the age of 18. I experienced my first hot yoga class at a local studio before attending university. It was the next best thing I could find after being a competitive dancer. Much like the dance studio, the yoga studio was a place where I could quiet my racing thoughts, attune with my body and get a deep stretch. As the years progressed, my intention behind doing yoga became more about managing my stress levels and less about reasons to do with classic fitness. Then along came one tiny human, postpartum anxiety, a deep shift in my values around professional work and a need to be more intentional with how I spent my time. I found both yoga and meditation imperative in regulating my nervous system, cementing themselves in my life as supportive self-care practices. That was when I yearned to deepen my understanding of yoga to become a teacher and learn more about the foundations of yoga. This experience was life-changing! It completely changed my understanding of my practice and my relationship with my body.

I guide students in listening to their bodies by building attunement, gratitude, self-compassion and kindness. I teach from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and body-inclusive lens. All bodies are good bodies and I weave in themes of body neutrality and liberation.

I love being in nature, drinking hot herbal tea, kayaking and chasing after my three kids. I am a big supporter of rest and self-compassion (historically I have not been good at this). I adore eating delicious food, traveling and having authentic conversations.

Yoga is the practice I always return to. It helps me step out of my head and into my body, and during a difficult season in my life, it became a powerful source of healing. That experience inspired me to deepen my practice and learn how to hold space for others who might also need that same sense of grounding and support.
When I’m not teaching yoga or working as a nutritionist, you can usually find me curled up with a book and a hot coffee, or off on camping adventures with my partner (and our dog!). Time with friends and family is one of my greatest joys — whether that’s gathering around a campfire, sharing delicious food, or enjoying a heartfelt conversation with the people I love most.

I love guiding students through practices that bring both energy and ease — from the quick, flowing pace of vinyasa to the slower, grounding rhythm of gentle classes. Because yoga has been such an anchor in my own life, my intention is always to create a supportive, welcoming space where students can listen to their bodies, build confidence, and feel more connected to themselves.

I love traveling and making memories with my two boys and husband in our second home in Serbia. Spending time outdoors, near water, trees, or mountains. Inside, catch me on my reformer, mat or preparing and enjoying a good vegan meal with my family.

I would say above all else my teaching style is adaptable. To the class that is listed, but also to the bodies that show up in front of me. Ultimately, I let the energy in the room and needs of the students set my lesson plan for the day. We might show up with one intention, but let it flow where you, my student, need it to go. I am pro props! I believe in using them not only for modifications, but also advancing your practice. Sustainable movement is tops for me, connecting the practice on the mat to what you will be doing in life beyond the studio (for many years to come).

Growing up, I spent all of my time at the rink training in figure skating. Then later, shifting to gymnastics. Flexibility came easy to me, but by the time I hit high school I was made to feel like I didn’t belong in the gym. When I got to University, I was invited to try a yoga class. It was an easy and natural fit. After a decade of practice, I decided to take my first 200-hour teacher training in Hatha yoga. Soon after, I fell for Pilates and trained in that for both mat and reformer. I began my teaching career in Toronto working with the two ends of the spectrum - preschool/kindergarten students and 65+ seniors. After having two kids in under two years in my 30’s, my body felt different, and stiff for really the first time. I was inspired to teach other expectant mothers and those in their postnatal period how Yoga, Pilates, Breathwork and Mindfulness could help them in this transitional time.

My come to yoga story isn’t unlike many others. I grew up competing, in sports and with my three brothers. I was at McMaster University when I took my first yoga class, I was hooked immediately. The way people could hold these uncomfortable looking shapes and have their breath sound so calm; I was in awe. The way people could balance on their hands and bend their legs behind their head; I was intrigued. The way people could sit so still and look so peaceful; I was inspired. Shortly after university I moved to Banff, Alberta, this is where my yoga career really took off. The yoga community there was magnetic; they introduced me to yoga as a lifestyle. The way you practiced on your mat, was the way you did everything else; climb a mountain, wash the dishes, parent, connect with others. I knew I needed to be a part of that. Yoga has supported me through heartbreak, major life transitions, falling in love, two pregnancies and the postpartum seasons that followed, and now, mindful parenting. It’s more than a practice, it’s an integral thread that is woven throughout all chapters of my life.

Nature lover. Ally of Mother Earth. Dog mom. I started coaching gymnastics at 14, later training lifeguards for the city of Toronto. After earning my 200-hour YTT with Bend it like Buddha in Portugal (led by Lisa Furtado, Nelly Furtado’s sister!), I taught anyone I could, leading me to open my own business.

  • Camping Queen: Raised camping in the Kawartha Lakes; paddle-boarding in Algonquin with the pup (Coconut) is my summer ritual.
  • Travel Bug: Lived in Spain and Australia; explored 19+ countries. Now hosts international retreats.
  • Hippie Spirit: Sun-worshipper, moon whisperer, earth healer. Always evolving, integrating, and expanding consciousness. On my own spiritual journey to integrate, heal and expand my own consciousness. Loves oracle cards and all things astrology!
  • Yoga Favourites: Chair yoga, vinyasa flow, restorative practices. Motivated by collective awakening.

Trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa, my classes blend mindful movement, energy healing, and meditation to empower self-love and wisdom. I aim to make my classes inclusive, fun, and exactly what you need to navigate life with grace and ease-whether it’s through chair yoga, vigorous flows, or energetic practices that strengthen mind-body-spirit connection.

At 18, I found refuge in a yoga class to escape the peering eyes of the gym environment during emotional overwhelm. Suffering led me to yoga, and yoga led me to a life of inner peace and self-compassion. Growing up in a materialistic city, I craved deeper connection. My travels and spiritual exploration taught me that true fulfillment comes from presence and embracing connection all around you. While living abroad in 2019 after countless people approached me asking to practice yoga with me, I became certified, realizing this was my path to guide others.
