Watercolour & Rest: A Winter Retreat

This winter, we invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and create without expectation. Watercolour + Rest is a meditative retreat blending restorative yoga and intuitive watercolour painting — a practice that welcomes rest, creativity, and flow.

Throughout this experience, you’ll be guided through long, supported restorative postures. You’ll be guided to release tension, quiet the mind, and settle into your body

Between each pose, you’ll be invited to express what’s stirring within by bringing brush to paper — creating short, spontaneous bursts of colour and form. Brief bursts of spontaneous painting — 30 to 90 seconds of watercolour flow — allowing colour and movement to arise without overthinking or expectation. There’s no “right” way to paint — simply a gentle invitation to explore, release, and allow.

After class, while the paint dries, enjoy a cozy moment of community connection over coffee, tea, and light refreshments. All materials are provided, and you’ll have the option to transform your artwork into handmade greeting cards or a beautiful collage — a tangible reminder of your practice and presence.

Led by Atheana Brown, yoga teacher, and
Shelly Peeken, intuitive artist at Two Roads Creative

Each month, we’ll offer 2–5 scholarship spaces that include one month of unlimited yoga classes at the studio at a discounted rate. This is an opportunity to rest, reconnect, and experience community care.
